If you are looking for a cottage with good swimming, privacy and quiet on a mid-sized lake, look no further. Inside and outside spaces are carefully furnished and set up to offer maximum relaxation and comfort. Converse with family on the expansive deck, down at the dock, or in the comfort of the livingroom. The furnishings and finishings here are chosen with care and are what makes this cottage stand out and gives it so much charm.

The cottage itself is beautifully decorated with plenty of modern rustic charm, and has lots of natural light streaming in. The main floor is open with a bright kitchen, and dining and livingroom spaces overlooking the lake. The large bathroom with shower and laundry facilities is also located on the main floor. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with 1 Queen bed and 1 Single bed in one bedroom, and 1 Double bed in the other bedroom. Follow the stairs down to the walk-out basement where the 3rd bedroom is located, with a Bunk bed (Double on bottom and Single on top), and a trundle bed. A smart TV is located in the family room here, and is perfect for rainy days or family movie night.

Outside there is plenty of space to relax on the deck, dine out under the shade canopy or sit by the water. The BBQ is conveniently located on the front deck, just outside from the dining space. The large patio table seets 6-8, and kids will have their own picnic table.

Good steps (only about 40) lead down to the lakeside deck which has a shaded area where you can sit by the water. There is a good dock here; and for swimming, just step in from the dock where the water is shallow and the bottom is nice and sandy! The water would gradually get deeper past the end of the dock, and a foam swim mat is anchored here for hours of fun. For the ones who want to explore the lake - try your choice of rowboat, canoe, kayak (2 Adults + 2 Children's), or stand-up paddleboard!! A public boat launch is just minutes away, and if you bring a boat, you can dock it here. Whether you like to spend your time in, or on the water, this is a great waterfront for all! Finally end your days with an evening campfire - roasting s'mores and telling of the day's adventures. Enjoy holiday time at this cottage, making family memories that last.

NOTE - The cottage may look highter up, but there are actually only about 40-45 good stairs down to the lake here. It is quite manageable for most folks.

AREA INFORMATION:
This cottage is located about 30 minutes from Bancroft, about 25 minutes from the eastern gate of ALGONQUIN Provincial Park, and two minutes from LAKE ST. PETER Provincial Park.

There is a variety store just a 5 minutes drive away in Lake St. Peter. The town of Maynooth is just 10 minutes it has a small convenience store with propane tank exchanges. Drive 25 mins to Bancroft which has the larger grocery stores (No Frills and Foodland), and a wide range of good shopping, unique artisan and gift stores. To eat out in Bancroft - choose from 2 Tim Horton's, McDonalds, Dixie Lee Chicken, Subway, Pizza Hut as well as a variety of other fast food and family restaurants. For a cool treat, stop by the Dairy Queen (downtown).... or drive to the Kawartha Dairy (on Hwy. 28 South, just 5 min out of town), where you can enjoy the best creamery ice cream! It is well worth it!
