This cottage has an incredible PRIVACY - you cannot see another cottage from here! Executively styled, the high-end finishings and decor with warm wood surfaces throughout will leave you feeling relaxed upon entry. The kitchen, dining, and living spaces are open concept, so that even when you are in the kitchen you can still converse with the family. The kitchen with it's higher-end appliances has everything you need - plus a double oven (cookies and a roast at the same time)!! Amenities include Satellite TV, Wi-Fi and even a cell phone booster to help you stay connected while you relax at the cottage.

A large propane fire stove is located in the living room for those cozy romantic evenings. From the living space, step out onto the deck which offers a lovely view of L'Amable Lake. On the deck is a propane BBQ, patio table and chairs. There is a two piece powder room located off the main floor living space. The master bedroom with King bed is also located on the main floor, with a three piece en-suite and even a private deck to enjoy your morning coffee while the children are still in bed. The lower floor has two bedrooms, one has a Queen bed in it, and the other with 2 Double bunk beds for the children. Down the hallway is a family recreation room and a four piece bathroom with a deep soaker tub.

L'Amable Lake is a lovely lake for swimming as it is clear and clean. A path and steps lead down to the waterfront with a few landings on the way down to stop and take in the view. The frontage here is deep, so good for jumping in right off the dock. There is a canoe at the waters edge. This lake is also known for its fishing the Trout have been stocked here and are so much fun to catch. If you do feel you want to enjoy some sand beach time then the public beach and boat launch are not far away. The launch goes under the highway so your boat goes through a large culvert. This cottage does have the best of all - a good view, good swimming, fishing and boating!

Waterfront:
The lot is elevated, there is a pathway that leads to the stairs 100 stairs down to the waterfront. About halfway down the stairs there is a resting platform to enjoy your coffee or take in the view of beautiful L'Amable Lake. There is a good dock by the water's edge and even a small shed to store your water toys. Swimming is deep off the dock.

Area Information:
This cottage is located just 10 minutes from Bancroft. The town of Bancroft has many things to offer visitors from shopping to trips to explore the old mines in the area. Bancroft is known as the 'Mineral capital of Canada' after all! For information check www.Bancroft.ca

Our newer hospital is about 11 minutes from this cottage. We have 2 large grocery stores (No Frills and Foodland), and a good butcher shop is York River Meat which has all kinds of fresh fish and meat available. Family restaurants range from home-cooked to Italian, to Chinese or Pub house. My favorite lunch cafe - Waddle and Daub Cafe (behind the post office). Plenty of fast-food options as well including Tim Horton's and McDonalds, Dixie Lee Chicken, Pizza Pizza and Subway. A live theater production is usually on schedule for the summer months (Village Playhouse), and it is a short walk for a treat from the local Dairy Queen.

"Another wonderful stay at this beautiful property on L'Amable Lake. This was our fifth visit in six years and it was as nice as our first. Too many positives to list but the owners have a real gem of a property and we feel so blessed to be able to stay there. Thank you so much.
