Nestled on a good-sized lot, with southern exposure, you'll enjoy the sun all day, but there is some shade here too. The property is surrounded by mature trees which will give you good privacy when you're relaxing by the shoreline, or on the deck. With approx. 100 feet of shoreline, and a gently sloping yard, you will have plenty of room to enjoy the sun, and watch the kids or dog play. The entrance to this cottage, leads right into the kitchen. Pine cabinetry gives a warm cottagey feeling to this well-stocked kitchen. The living room is set to the front of the cottage, where it offers a great view of the lake. The TV and DVD player are located here, so you can watch movies on those rainy days. Also on the main level are the two bedrooms and bathroom. The first bedroom has a Double bed, and the second bedroom has a Double bed plus a Single bed. The 3 pc bathroom has a shower. The loft area is use at your own risk, but there is no need to go up there as everything you need is on the main level.

From the living room, you can access the large deck, and enjoy the view while soaking in the sun. The BBQ, and patio set are just to the side. Good steps down from the deck lead to the large lawn, and waterfront. To the right of the lawn, there are a few steps down into the water for swimming. There is a good dock here, where you can tie up a small boat, if you bring one, or you can enjoy the use of the canoe and paddle boat supplied. There is now also an aluminum Row boat, 2 Kayaks and a swimming raft too. And at the end of the day, enjoy some quality family time around the campfire, roasting marshmallows, and listening to the sound of loons.

Steenburg Lake is about 2 miles in size, offers Splake and Large-mouth Bass fishing. This cozy 2 bedroom cottage offers both sun and shade, good privacy, and an all-round fun time for your family!

WATERFRONT:
To the right, there are a few steps down to good swimming, or you can swim off the dock for deeper swimming. The bottom is sandy/gravelly, when you step in, and drops off by the end of the dock.

Enjoy getting out on the lake with the 2 Kayaks, canoe, rowboat and paddleboat.

There is good cell service at this property. For drinking water - there is a water cooler here but you will need to bring a jug of water with you.

Some life jackets are provided here, but if you need other sizes, stop by the CottageRentals247.com office in Bancroft. We carry most sizes including children's, and the life jackets are just $5 + tax, to rent for the week.

AREA INFORMATION:
This cottage is located about 40 minutes south of Bancroft. Trudy's Variety/Gas bar is located out on Hwy. #62 (just about 10 minutes away from your cottage), and you will find propane exchange tanks as welll as basic food and supplies here.

The town of Bancroft is your best stop for shopping, dining and groceries. We have 2 grocery stores - No Frills and Foodland. Tim Hortons, Post office, LCBO as well as many unique gift stores and a variety of restaurants ranging from family to fast food. For a special treat, head out to Kawartha Dairy just a few minutes out on Hwy#28 South to enjoy the best ice cream!! For information on the all of the area's activites/sights, go to their website wwwbancroft.ca or stop by the Visitor Information center in the Bancroft Heritage Museum. While you are there, check out the Museum, and visit the nearby Bancroft Mineral Museum

"You’ll want for nothing in this delightful and well equipped cottage. Gorgeous location positioned directly on the lake, this cottage offers quiet solitude for a relaxing getaway. Perfect spot for coffee and a good book overlooking the early morning lake with great swimming and lots of water sports on hand. A lovely family and pet friendly spot.
