For a small family not wanting to be too far from Bancroft, this is a great cottage for you! This cottage has that nice 'cozy' feeling, with 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen and a 4pc bathroom. The dining room table seats 6 people comfortably, and is a nice size to play board games at. A large window in the living area allows natural light to come in. In the livingroom there is a Smart TV, a TV with Chromecast in the main bedroom, and a TV with a built in DVD player in the bedroom with a Double bed. WiFi is included here.

Walk out to the large deck through the patio door in the living room, or from the screened porch area along the side of the cottage. You will find there is good shade here.

The deck overlooks the lake and with the mature trees, you have decent privacy here as well. About 6 steps off the deck and then about 20 good stairs lead down to the waterfront and firepit area. You can walk right in for swimming as the entry is nice and shallow, and then it will drop off for deeper swimming. The depth at the end of the dock is usually about 4 feet deep, so you should be able to jump off the end of the dock, but check the depth first as levels can fluctuate depending on the weather.

Enjoy the Rowboat, Paddleboat and Kayak that are provided here, and explore this small lake. The owners do have some nice muskoka chairs at the waterfront where you can relax. If you want to have a campfire, pick up some firewood, on the way to the cottage, and please just check the area signs to make sure burning is allowed first. The lawn behind the cottage is perfect for a game of horseshoes, badminton, bocce ball or croquet to pass the days. Lot of amenities included with this cottage - just bring your bed linens, towels and firewood!

Located just 7 minutes from the town of Bancroft, this cottage works well for the 'Rally of the Tall Pines' race in November, or for any major weekend event in the shoulder season.

Waterfront:
You can step in to the water here, but then it drops off to deeper swimming. Rowboat, paddleboat and kayak provided here!

Area Information:
This cottage is located about 7 minutes from the town of Bancroft. The town has many things to offer for day trips such as hiking, shopping and even rockhounding tours in summer - they can be set up through the Town of Bancroft office. Bancroft is known as the 'Mineral capital of Canada' since there are so many different varieties of rocks and minerals here - about 1600! The QHC North Hastings Hospital (in Bancroft) is about 8 minutes from this cottage. We have 2 grocery stores (No Frills and Foodland), IDA Drug Store, Shoppers Drug Mart, Canadian Tire, post office, LCBO and several unique art and gift shops. Oh yes, and 2-Tim Horton's, a McDonald's, Subway, Pizza Pizza, as well as lots of great family restaurants! A good butcher at York River Meats has all kinds of fresh fish and meat available. If you are spending a day in town, stop for a treat at Dairy Queen or for arguably the best creamery ice cream - stop by Kawartha Dairy!!

Our office is located at 73 Hastings Street North in beautiful downtown Bancroft. Kids who are staying at a cottage may come in to our office for a free gift!!

Great Vacation Great Lake

"Had a Great time at this cottage - it is on a small lake which is perfect for swimming, (very calm), paddle boarding, kayaking etc. Small lake means warner water. Fantastic for children. We caught Bass, Perch and sunfish off the dock. Ducks and turtles stopped by for visits. We had a great week - the cottage was comfortable, relaxing and inviting. Everything we could have wanted and booking through this website was super easy and you can trust them.
